Abdallah Abdallah Eteleeb

Abdallah Eteleeb is a Ph.D. candidate in the Computer Engineering and Computer Science Department at University of Louisville. He received his B.Sc. degree in Computer Science from the University of Al-Jabel Al-Gharbi, Libya and his M.Sc. degree in Information Systems Development from HAN University of Applied Science, The Netherlands. Abdallah has joined the Bioinformatics lab in the Fall of 2010 where he will be working with his advisor Dr. Eric Rouchka on sequencing projects using next generation sequencing techniques particularly focusing on analyzing RNA-Seq and ChIP-Seq data. Other than analyzing RNA-sequencing data, he is interested in machine learning techniques in bioinformatics.

Current Master’s Students
John John Kirtley

John Kirtley is a master’s student in computer science at the University of Louisville’s J. B. Speed School of Engineering. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics, also from UofL, concentrating in the area of actuarial science. John is currently assisting Dr. Eric Rouchka on a research project funded by NASA entitled “Diagnosing and Mitigating Human Exposure to Radiation Using Micro-Nanotechnology”, performing statistical analyses on microarray expression data. Upon completion of his masters, John plans to pursue a Ph.D. in bioinformatics.
